01 February 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR released the first passport with ten (10)-year validity on 01 February 2018. It was among the seventy (73) passport applicants who filed at the Consulate on 03 January 2018.
OFW Leoli Abenoja De Guzman, from Naguilian La Union, is the first to receive a passport with ten (10)-year validity. She has been working as a domestic helper in Macau SAR for the past six (6) years. Ms. De Guzman expressed her appreciation to the Consulate and to the Department of Foreign Affairs when she claimed her ePassport with the new design and validity period.
The Consular Section received a total of nine hundred sixty eight (968) passport applications for the month of January 2018.
